Invitation to Nepal Night
(Charitable Dinner and Cultural Program)
In Nepal, children from low income families are deprived from many opportunities. They have very limited access to good education. Samata School also known as Bamboo School is the only place of gaining quality education for many impoverished children in Nepal. The Non Resident Nepalese Association of New Zealand (NRNA NZ) has been organising fundraising programs throughout the major cities and towns of New Zealand for building and expanding Bamboo School System in Nepal. These programmes are being organized in coordination with the local Nepali communities. So far, two such programs have been organized, the first one in Waimate (28th of April 2012) and the second one in Invercargill (6th of May 2012).

NRNA NZ along with Nepal New Zealand Friendship Society of Canterbury Inc., is organizing a similar fundraising event (Nepal Night) in Christchurch on Saturday 8th of September 2012 at Templeton Community Hall in Christchurch. This is purely a charity event and all the proceeds collected from these events will directly go to Bamboo Schools in Nepal.
The main attractions of the program are:
• Live Nepali cultural performances
• Traditional Nepalese dinner
 • Display of Nepalese Arts and Crafts
• Original and iconic souvenirs from Nepal for sale
Venue: 62 Kirk Road, Templeton Community Hall, Templeton, Christchurch
Date: 08 September 2012 (Saturday), 5.30 to 9.00 pm.
Entry tickets: $30.00 for adults; $15 for 12- 18 years old; Free entry for children up to 12 years.
